About image
Hello, I'm Rachel!

I'm a freelance content writer, editor and copywriter with over 15 years' experience working with some of the UK's best-known homes, interiors and lifestyle publications, including Ideal Home, Homes & Gardens, Livingetc and LovePROPERTY.

Over the years, I've written and edited everything from SEO features, decorating guides and shopping round-ups to interviews, newsletters and branded content. I love finding a good story, researching new ideas and creating content that's genuinely useful, interesting and enjoyable to read.

Homes, interiors, lifestyle and travel are my specialities, but I'm naturally curious and always happy to explore new subjects. I have a strong editorial and visual eye, a good understanding of SEO and plenty of experience adapting my writing to suit different audiences and brands.
Some of the publications I've worked with include:

Homes & lifestyle: Ideal Home, Homes & Gardens, Livingetc, LovePROPERTY, LoveEXPLORING, Simply Scandi, Family Traveller and MSN.

Commercial & branded content: Cosmopolitan, Company, Zest, All About You, Best Daily and Reveal.

Print: Ideal Home, Style at Home, Prima Baby, Your Home and Coast.

I'm available for freelance writing, copywriting, SEO content, digital editing and ongoing editorial projects.

Please have a look around my portfolio, and if you think I could help with something, I'd love to hear from you.

Testimonials

I’ve worked with Rachel for more than six years, first at the Homes Network of TI Media where we were colleagues, and then as her commissioning editor at LovePROPERTY.com. Rachel is our main interiors writer and my lead on trends, design and decorating. She has an excellent understanding of the homes and interiors audience and is always able to break down a look with insight and clarity. She also has a superb eye for imagery, always putting in the extra time to find gorgeous lifestyle pictures. She is reliable and efficient, able to turn around copy quickly. She continues to be a great asset to my extended team.

Having worked alongside Rachel for many years on interior magazines, I can safely say I'd recommend her highly. Not only is she efficient and creative, but she has solid experience and really knows her stuff when it comes to digital content creation.

Life of An Interior Stylist

Having worked with Rachel many times during her career, we teamed up more recently on Simply Scandi. I needed someone to write and upload content for our blog… and Rachel just got it! She’s a great homes and digital writer. I loved seeing a queue of her blog posts ready and waiting for me to hit approve (and trust me, there wasn’t anything else needed from me).
